About this event
Held in Nishitokyo City, the "20th Shitanoya Jomon Village Autumn Festival: '20 Times Connected by Everyone! Shi-ta, No-ya, and Everyone's Smiles'" is an event featuring explanations of restored pit dwellings and pottery, hands-on experience booths for fire making, magatama bead crafting, stone tool making, as well as music and dance performances. This year, the vendor booths have expanded, allowing visitors to purchase delicious food, fresh vegetables, and items unique to the Shitanoya Ruins and the Jomon period. Special commemorative projects celebrating the 20th milestone are also prepared, offering a full day to engage with Jomon culture. Even in case of rain, the event will be safely held by moving the venue to Higashifushimi Elementary School.
