About this event

Held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, set in Tokaido Kawasaki Post Town, the "Tokaido Kawasaki Post Town Festival" will be scaled up from last year, featuring new venue events and a puzzle-solving event alongside the annual costume parade, Rokugo Ferry event, and traditional culture experience events. This year, it will also be held in collaboration with events commemorating the 30th anniversary of the sister/friendship city affiliation between Kawasaki City and Naha City. Fronta from Kawasaki Frontale and Roar from Kawasaki Brave Thunders will also participate, riding in open-top convertibles during the costume parade. The event lineup is wide-ranging, including a costume parade, Rokugo Ferry events (Tama River sightseeing cruise, food and drink stalls, attractions, workshops, magic shows, Uiro-uri barker recitations, etc.), traditional culture experience events (traditional games, kimono dressing, ukiyo-e woodblock printing, matcha green tea experience), history-meets-modernity events (music stage, food and drink booths, board game events, lottery draws), and a puzzle-solving event (a puzzle-solving journey touring Kawasaki Post Town). Furthermore, concurrent events include the Kawasaki Post Town Edo-bound Procession, the Chanpuru Festival celebrating the 30th anniversary of the friendship city affiliation between Kawasaki and Naha, "TRY! DAY KAWA" utilizing the waterfront space, and the "Photo Contest" commemorating the installation of the Edoguchi Guide Banner. As an eve festival, the Tokaido Kawasaki Post Town Festival Yose (traditional storytelling) will also be held on Saturday, October 3.
