The "Shonan Hiratsuka Tourism Festival 2026" will be held to fully enjoy the charms of Shonandaira. At this event, exhibitions and sales will take place over 3 days from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, aiming to introduce the good points and great products of Hiratsuka to a wide range of generations and increase local pride and interest in regional tourism. During the period, daily changing lectures by Hiratsuka City Museum curators will be held, such as "Constellations Visible from Shonandaira," "The Formation of Shonandaira," and "Plants of Shonandaira." In addition, the "Shonandaira Nature Observation Guided Tour" led by the lecture speakers on the same day will be conducted, offering a deep experience of Shonandaira's nature. Furthermore, the "Hiratsuka-shuku Sweets Tour Stamp Rally" will be held, offering the enjoyment of visiting local sweets shops. At the venue, panel exhibitions related to the lectures, promotional video screenings of Shonandaira, and introductions to tourism supporter activities will also be conducted. In the hands-on activity corner, visitors can become familiar with the history and culture of Shonandaira through activities such as "Let's Make Acorn Spinning Tops," "Let's Make Shonandaira Can Badges," and "Shonandaira Quiz." Sales of local specialties and fresh vegetables, sales of town gacha capsules, and a lottery for shoppers are also planned, making it an event where visitors can fully experience the charms of Hiratsuka.
