A special night walking event where you can walk Mt. Azuma on an autumn night and enjoy the night view of Sagami Bay and a star-filled sky. Azumayama Park, which is normally open only during the day, will be open at night with special permission. Walking up the gentle mountain path from the Nakazato Entrance while listening to the sounds of insects in the night forest, Mt. Azuma reveals an entirely different face from its usual daytime appearance. From the summit, a breathtaking panoramic view unfolds, taking in the night lights of Sagami Bay stretching from Miura Peninsula to Izu, the lights of Boso Peninsula, the city lights of Odawara, and even Mt. Fuji and the Tanzawa Mountains. The event is attended on the round trip by staff from General Incorporated Association Asobi no Niwa, Ninomiya Town's leading 'play masters' group, who will guide participants and give lectures at the summit on how to enjoy the night sky and the plants and wildlife along the way, making it safe and enjoyable even for first-timers. In addition, you can savor Ninomiya-exclusive flavors, such as 'custard taiyaki with olive powder' made using Ninomiya's specialty olive powder, as well as the popular 'taitako'. Surrounded by the autumn night breeze, this will be a special experience to savor impressive views and local delicacies distinct from the daytime.
