The 8th Miyagase Dam Night Discharge

About this event

A powerful water discharge will take place from Miyagase Dam, illuminated against the dark night. On the day of the event, stage events such as dance performances, a tour of the Aikawa No. 1 Power Station, the opening of the upper part of the dam body to the public, and sales of Aikawa brand products are also scheduled. At the finale of the event, fireworks will be launched, creating a special night to color the autumn evening. A total of 1,200 spectators will be selected by lottery, targeting those who can arrive by private car or similar means at the meeting point, the "North" Parking Lot of Prefectural Aikawa Park. High school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. The participation fee is 2,000 yen for adults (high school students and older) and free for junior high school students and younger. Those wishing to participate must apply via the website or postcard between Monday, August 3 and Friday, August 28. Lottery results will be notified to winners by Friday, October 9.
