About this event
Aiming to deepen exchange among town residents and promote lifelong sports through a variety of sports and recreation activities that 'anyone, anytime, anywhere' can enjoy, the '2026 Aikawa Sports and Recreation Festival' will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Park No. 1 and Gymnasium. On the day, visitors can enjoy 30 sports and recreation events conducted by member event associations of the Town Sports Association, the Town Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council, and sports organizations from inside and outside the town. Highlights include a 'Soft Tennis Clinic' featuring former All-Japan No. 2 ranked Daichi Yamaguchi as an instructor, and a 'Baby Derby' celebrating the growth of babies. The Soft Tennis Clinic offers classes for elementary/junior high school students and high school students and older, while the Baby Derby features crawling races categorized by infant age in months. Additionally, a stamp rally will be held where participants collect stamps from experienced events to exchange for prizes, making it an event the entire family can enjoy all day long.
