About this event

"Cool Japan EXPO in NIIGATA 2026" is an event showcasing the charms of Niigata to domestic and international audiences, held over two days on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the Toki Messe Niigata Convention Center Exhibition Hall. A diverse range of Cool Japan content will gather in one place, including Japan's prized Nishikigoi (ornamental carp), anime, manga, traditional culture, subcultures, tourism, food, and entertainment. Designed as an experiential event for people of all generations and nationalities, it provides an opportunity to discover new things, make connections, and broadly share the activities of participants as well as the appeal of local regions and enterprises. The venue is scheduled to feature exhibits across a wide variety of categories, such as local products, traditional crafts, manga/anime/gaming, tourism/travel/hot springs, traditional culture/entertainment/performing arts, food culture/gourmet, household goods, beauty/cosmetics, fashion/cosplay, agricultural and marine products, and international booths. Stage events are also planned, bringing together innovations born from collaborations of Cool Japan content in Niigata. Admission is free.
