Ojiya Festival Grand Fireworks Display

A grand fireworks display held as part of the 'Ojiya Matsuri', the largest festival in Ojiya City. Launching approximately 7,000 fireworks, it is renowned as one of the premier fireworks festivals in Niigata Prefecture. In particular, the 'Super Wide Vesuvius Grand Starmine', funded by donations from local citizens to conclude the festival, captivates spectators with its expansive scale and thunderous sound. The display also invites applications for message fireworks, allowing people to launch fireworks carrying messages of gratitude or encouragement to loved ones. On the day of the fireworks display, street stalls and the Manto Unified Parade will also take place, enlivening the entire festival. The venue is near the west end of Asahi Bridge over the Shinano River, where spectators can watch the fireworks launched from the Shinano River riverbed.
