About this event
The "42nd Dance Festival" held in Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture, is a splendid stage where local Japanese classical dance and folk dance groups gather to present the results of their daily practice. As a special performance this year, Mitoou Nishizaki and Mitoga Nishizaki will perform the nagauta piece "Echigo Jishi." In addition, "KAMOzaka21" from Kamo Junior High School will make a friendly guest appearance to enliven the festive atmosphere. A variety of groups will perform, including Nishizaki Kamo-kai, Niigata Nishizaki-kai, Ichiyama-kai, Kamo Matsuzaka Association, Kamo Matsuzaka Preservation Society, Shusen-kai, Horyu-kai, Koren-no-Kai (Fujima-ryu Niigata City), and Ougiwa-kai, allowing audiences to enjoy various genres of dance. Tickets are 700 yen in advance and 800 yen at the door, available at Kamo Culture Hall and other locations.
