Held in Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture, 'Factory Festival in Kamo Papermaking Workshop' is a rare opportunity to observe the manufacturing process of traditional Kamo paper. Held from October 1 (Thu) to October 4 (Sun), 2026, the Kamo Papermaking Workshop will be open to the public during this period. Tours are available from 13:30 to 16:00 on October 1 (Thu) and 2 (Fri), and from 9:00 to 12:00 in the morning and 13:30 to 16:00 in the afternoon on October 3 (Sat) and 4 (Sun). Admission is free, but workshops and papermaking experiences may incur a separate fee. Through this event, you can experience the history and techniques of Kamo paper and feel its appeal firsthand.
