Youth Cultural Festival Event "Ao-sai"

About this event

Under the theme of "Creating a 'New Culture' in Town by Ourselves!", the community cultural festival "Ao-sai," planned and managed primarily by junior high and high school students, will be held. Centered around high school students who regularly use the youth hub [Domitsuke] in front of Mitsuke Station, this event is conceived and created by junior high and high school students across schools and local boundaries. It serves as a venue for youth to realize what they want to try together with their peers, including stage performances such as live music and dance, pop-up shops, live painting, and art exhibitions. These real-world challenges aim to change the townscape and create a "new culture" in the town. On the day of the event, there will be solo acoustic and band stage performances by high school students, challenge shops by vocational school and university students, interactive workshops planned by students, and an esports tournament that everyone from elementary school students to adults can enjoy. The youth are the main stars. By involving peers, parents, and local adults, Ao-sai is an event where students create new choices for their town with their own hands. General admission is free.
