Let's Make Together: Tsubame Digital Fireworks Display

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the municipal merger, Tsubame City will hold the participatory event "Let's Make Together: Tsubame Digital Fireworks Display" at Tsubame City Hall on Sunday, August 23 as the finale of the summer festival. Under the theme of "Let's Color the Night Sky Together," pictures drawn by participants will be turned into digital fireworks and projected onto the exterior walls of Tsubame City Hall between 19:00 and 21:00. In conjunction with the digital fireworks display, submissions of drawings to be projected at this event are being accepted. The submission period for drawings is from Monday, June 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8) to Friday, July 31, 2026, with the first 360 drawings accepted. Specialized drawing sheets are distributed at the Tsubame City Hall Tourism Promotion Division, Tsubame City Library, Tsubame City Bunsui Library, Tsubame City Yoshida Library, children's halls and child training halls in Tsubame City, elementary schools in Tsubame City, and special booths at the summer festivals in three districts (distribution may have ended at some locations). Drawings can be submitted in person or by mail. If submitting by mail, they must arrive by the deadline and be sent to the Secretariat of the Tsubame City Summer Festival Liaison Council. Eligibility for applicants is not limited by place of residence or age. When drawing, please use oil-based markers; only the "drawing" will be projected. On the back of the sheet, please write the applicant's address, full name, age, and contact information. If the applicant is a minor, a parent or guardian's name is also required. Returned drawings will be available at the Tsubame City Tourism Promotion Division counter between Tuesday, September 1 and Wednesday, September 30. Any content deemed inappropriate by the organizers may not be projected. Prior to the digital fireworks, stage events will be held along with food and drink booths to create a bustling atmosphere. Stage events will feature street performances, fire performances, and a joint performance of a unified piece by three taiko drum groups in Tsubame City.
