Myoko Arai Umaimon Festival 2026

About this event

The 'Myoko Arai Umaimon Festival 2026,' an event promoting the local charms through food, will be held. Over 20 food and drink booths centered around the Arai area will open, offering Myoko's local gourmet foods such as baby taiyaki, buckwheat galettes, melt-in-the-mouth pork tendon bowls, umasugiyaki, and karinto manju. Grilled oysters from Noto in Ishikawa Prefecture will also appear as a support booth. In addition, a charity sake tasting featuring three sake breweries—Kiminoi Brewery, Ayumasamune Brewery, and Chiyonohikari Brewery—will be held, with all proceeds donated to the Myoko City Council of Social Welfare. On the special stage at the venue, juggling shows, chindon-ya marching bands, performances by local dance teams, comedy sketches by theater troupes, hula dancing, and belly dancing will be showcased. From the evening onward, 'Fantastic Night' will also be held, featuring glowing toy giveaways for children and the 'Great Phantom Romantic Theater' screening nostalgic footage of Arai.
