About this event
Participating crews are now being recruited for the 34th Agano River Regatta, held in Aga Town, Niigata Prefecture. Set against the magnificent Agano River, this event is a valuable opportunity to enjoy both the excitement of boat racing and the beauty of nature at the same time. Participants compete over a distance of 500 meters in knuckle four boats. Entry is free for student crews of high school age and under, serving also to nurture the next generation of rowers. A polo shirt design is also being solicited as a participation prize, designed to build excitement together with the participants. The event will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with the opening ceremony starting at 7:30 AM. The venue is the Niigata Prefectural Tsugawa Rowing Course. The application period is from Friday, June 12, to Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and the entry fee is 5,000 yen per crew. Please refer to the separate guidelines for details.
