This is an observation event to search for pseudoscorpions ('kanimushi'), tiny soil-dwelling creatures that resemble scorpions. Measuring about 1 to 2 mm in size, pseudoscorpions are difficult to spot unless you are actively looking for them, but their scorpion-like pincers are truly fascinating. In this event, participants can experience the presence of these tiny monsters up close using the shifting method (hand-sorting method) developed by Mr. Ohira, a leading authority on pseudoscorpion research. It is a valuable opportunity to experience the astonishing world of living creatures that one rarely sees.
