About this event

The 'Aga Jomon Pottery Open-Air Firing Festival' will be held in Aga Town on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Planned as a continuation of a previously held pottery-making workshop, participants' Jomon pottery will be fired in open bonfires (noyaki). As an experience fusing Jomon culture with modern music, a DJ performance by special guest 'DJ PEH' from Sado is also scheduled. Food trucks and workshops will be available on the day, offering various ways to enjoy the event, such as chatting around the bonfire and eating delicious food. The event runs from 13:00 to 20:00 and will be canceled in case of bad weather. If canceled, an open-firing experiment only is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 26. Advance tickets are 1,000 yen and same-day tickets are 1,500 yen, both including one drink (worth 500 yen). Sales close on Friday, August 21, at 23:00.
