The 66th Toyama Festival 2026 will be held over two days, enveloping downtown Toyama in excitement. Centered around Toyama Castle Ruin Park and Joshi Odori Avenue, a wide variety of events will unfold, including the vibrant 'Toyama Yosakoi Festival', the 'Ecchu Owara Bushi National Competition' with its charmingly plaintive songs and dances, and the '2026 Corporate Tug-of-War Competition' testing strength and teamwork. There are also plenty of family-friendly attractions such as the 'Police Officers Concert and Drill Festival', 'Downtown Kids Park', 'Working Vehicles', and 'Toyama Prefecture Young Steeplejacks Association Traditional Performance Demonstration'. At the Castle Ruin Park, the 'Hoshizora Bazaar' featuring gourmet foods and sweets will also be held, creating an event packed with things to see, eat, and experience. Located about a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station, access is convenient, and using public transportation is recommended. Traffic restrictions are also scheduled around the venue on the day.
