World Heritage Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village Illumination

Experience the mystical traditional scenery of Japan at the Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village illumination. The village displays different seasonal facets that captivate visitors. In fiscal year 2026, events include "Traditional Japanese Scenery Floating on Water - Inverted Gassho in Paddy Fields" on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24; "Traditional Japanese Scenery Floating in an Early Autumn Mountain Village" on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13; and "Traditional Japanese Scenery Floating on Snow Fields" on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21, 2027. Special "Window Light Viewing Days" are also scheduled for visitors to enjoy the regular nighttime village scenery without illuminations, extending open hours at designated locations until 20:00. The illuminations run from around sunset until 20:00 at the Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village in Ainokura, Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
