4th Tsurugi Relay Marathon & Health Walk Tournament

The '4th Tsurugi Relay Marathon & Health Walk Tournament,' held in Kamiichi Town, Toyama Prefecture, will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Fuji Chemical Sports Park Maruyama (Maruyama General Park). The relay marathon features a half division (approx. 21 km) and a mini division (approx. 10.5 km), where teams pass the tasuki sash. Males and females of elementary school age and older can participate, with teams formed by 2 to 11 runners. The health walk follows an approximately 5 km course taking about 1 hour and 15 minutes, turning around at the Tsuga Tree-lined Path and Ryusenji Temple (Gannokusan Ryusenji). Bringing pets is also welcomed, allowing participants to enjoy the walk with family and friends. A new sports experience corner will also be set up at the venue, offering various activities. The relay marathon will be measured by a timing system, and top 3 finishers in each division will receive prizes related to Kamiichi Town. Participation prizes are also prepared for all participants. The event will proceed rain or shine, but may be canceled in case of severe weather. The schedule on the day starts with registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the opening ceremony at 9:20 AM. The health walk is scheduled to start at 9:45 AM, and the relay marathon is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM. The event is scheduled to finish at 11:50 AM. The entry fee is 500 yen per person for the relay marathon (team entry fee separate) and 500 yen per person for the health walk. Children under elementary school age are free. The application period runs from Monday, June 15 to Monday, August 31, but registration will close once capacity is reached.
