4th Spo-GOMI Tournament in Kamiichi

The "Spo-GOMI Tournament," which incorporates elements of sport into litter collection, will be held in Kamiichi Town. Spo-GOMI is an eco-friendly sport originating in Japan where participants compete for points based on the quantity and quality of trash collected. Within a limited time, teams devise strategies and experience the fun of sports while cleaning up the local area through litter picking. There are no gender or age restrictions, and anyone can participate. All trash-picking equipment is provided, so you can easily join in clothing suitable for sports. The event will proceed in the rain, but may be canceled in severe weather. The tentative schedule for the event day is: reception starts at 9:00 AM, opening ceremony at 9:30 AM, competition from 10:00 AM for 1 hour, results tallying at 11:00 AM, closing ceremony at 11:30 AM, and finish at 12:00 PM. For safety reasons, teams consisting solely of children aged 12 and under are not permitted, and an adult guardian must accompany them. Participation is free, with registration open to the first 30 teams (up to 5 people per team). The application period is from September 1 to October 9.
