About this event
The 'World International Student Exchange Ishikawa 2026: 39th JAPAN TENT' is an event that welcomes international students and trainees studying across Japan from countries and regions around the world to Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, promoting cultural exchange through homestays. In this program, 10 international students and trainees studying in regions along the Hokuriku Shinkansen line will visit Nomi City. Beginning with a welcome ceremony with host families and a courtesy call to the mayor, students will spend free time with their host families and experience different cultures. As highlights of the program, a studio tour of Kutani ware ceramic artists, a painting workshop, and a 'Happiece' accessory-making workshop using Kutani ceramic shards are scheduled. Participants will also take part in the local Tatsunokuchi Festival, offering a precious opportunity to deepen interactions with local citizens. This event aims to allow international students to experience Japanese culture and create unforgettable memories through warm interactions with local community members. Host families are asked to welcome the students as members of their family, providing transportation and supporting their participation in the program. Let's create wonderful, lasting memories together with international students this summer.
