About this event
A traditional festival handed down in Ichikawamisato Town. Held around Marishiten Shrine, it is affectionately known to locals as "Marishiten-san." Marishiten is a guardian deity in Buddhism deifying mirages (haze of light), widely venerated particularly among samurai warriors as a deity of personal protection and victory. This festival serves as a seasonal sign of the end of summer. While dedicatory fireworks were launched in the past, in recent years the event is held exclusively with Shinto rituals. Although there are no food stalls or fireworks, it is a precious opportunity to experience the region's tradition and faith.
