Fuji Five Lakes Jazz Festival 2026

About this event

Held against the backdrop of the World Heritage site Mount Fuji, the "Fuji Five Lakes Jazz Festival 2026" is a music festival featuring performers ranging from junior high and high school big bands to professional jazz musicians. Through the shared language of jazz, visitors can experience the charm of music resonating beyond barriers of generation, nationality, and experience. Educational initiatives in collaboration with Yamanashi Prefecture and municipalities in the Fuji Five Lakes area are also conducted, with past programs featuring masterclasses by Berklee College of Music professors and exchanges with international jazz groups. For this year's festival, up-and-coming saxophonist Runa Watanabe from Lake Yamanaka serves as curator, presenting her vision of a new form of jazz at the foot of Mount Fuji. A unique jazz sound exclusive to this event is anticipated. The event consists of two parts: the "Lakeside Jazz Stage" and the "Sunset Premium Live," showcasing performances by a diverse lineup of artists.
