Japanese name:IIYAMAにっこりマルシェ
📅 Sat, Oct 3, 2026 - Sun, Oct 4, 2026
About this event
Held at the Iiyama City Cultural Exchange Center "Natura," the "IIYAMA Nikkori Marche" started as a multigenerational gathering space designed to bring smiles to Iiyama and neighboring areas, as well as to oneself. At the market, along with sales of food, drinks, and craft goods, you can enjoy hands-on booths featuring workshops and massages. A special highlight is the stalls by elementary and junior high school "Nikkori Future Creators," where you can support children's challenges through keychain making, flea markets, and more. For food, takoyaki, stone-oven galettes, bread, baked goods, German bread, spice curry, and more will be available, while goods such as accessories, fabric crafts, wooden goods, beads, resin crafts, and knit items will be sold. In the workshops, you can experience tsumami-zaiku (pinched fabric craft), sand art, custom curry bread making, and more, while the fortune-telling and relaxation corner offers card readings, foot reflexology massage, hand therapy, and diet salon trial sessions. At the stage event "Nikkori LIVE," gospel, ensemble performances, and guitar sing-alongs will be presented, along with fun attractions such as balloon art performances and appearances by a Tyrannosaurus. The first 150 visitors on both days will also receive stamp rally presents. Cherishing a deep love for Iiyama, this market was created as a community-rooted exchange platform where people gather across generations and stallholders and visitors connect, rediscovering regional charm and creating opportunities for new interactions and activities. It aims to broaden the circle of smiles in the community, support local endeavors, and provide visitors with a heartwarming time.
