About this event
The "Learning Area Autumn Festival 2026 [Library Festival]" will be held at the Iiyama City Library. At the recycled book bazaar, books donated by citizens and decommissioned library books will be sold for 10 yen per book, offering a great chance to find bargains. Additionally, at "Hansel and Gretel's Candy House," you can enjoy a game of fishing for bags of sweets for 100 yen per turn. Furthermore, a storytelling presentation by Iiyama Picture Book Communicators will be held on Saturday, October 3, divided into morning and afternoon sessions to read favorite picture books and kamishibai (paper theater). On Sunday, October 4, under the theme "Playing with Picture Books," booths featuring "Story Fishing" and costume photo shoots will be available. The event will take place from 9:30 to 16:30 on Saturday, October 3, and from 9:30 to 15:00 on Sunday, October 4.
