About this event
The '23rd Hiraide Ruins Festival,' hosted by the Shiojiri City Hiraide Museum, will be held at Hiraide Ruins Park. This festival is an event where you can experience the life and culture of ancient people, offering various hands-on programs that children can also enjoy, such as making magatama beads, fire making, and creating rubbings for bookmarks. In addition, there will be distribution of 'Heian Soup' made with ingredients eaten during the Heian period, kitchen cars, and booths by museums in the prefecture and Daimon Marche, allowing you to enjoy activities, food, and learning throughout the day. At the venue, 'Jomon Village,' 'Kofun Period Village,' and 'Heian Period Village' will be set up to recreate the village life of those eras, alongside performances such as street performance and brass band concerts. Visitors can also enjoy a play corner inspired by life from the Jomon to Heian periods, as well as stalls offering food and local specialties. Admission to the Hiraide Museum will also be free on the day.
