Chestnut Tiger Butterfly Festival & Children's Plaza

An event themed around the beautiful chestnut tiger butterfly (Asagimadara) will be held in Miyada Village, Nagano Prefecture. Aiming to deepen understanding of the butterfly's ecology and environmental conservation, the event features the "Asagimadara Children's Plaza," designed especially to spark children's interest in butterflies. The venue offers food/drink stalls, merchandise, and interactive craft booths, where visitors can make butterfly wings or participate in a stamp rally. Set against the nature-rich "Asagimadara no Sato" and "Ruby no Sato Komagane Garden" at the foot of the Central Alps' Mount Komagatake during the butterfly's migration season, this festival provides learning and fun through interaction with nature, making it highly recommended for families. In case of rain, the event is scheduled to be held at the Miyada Village Cultural Center.
