At 'Roadside Station Shinanoji Shimojo Soba Castle (Michi-no-Eki Shinanoji Shimojo Soba no Shiro)' in Shimojo Village, Nagano Prefecture, the 'Shimojo Village Fire Brigade Fire Festival' and 'Soba Castle - Summer Campaign -' will be held simultaneously for the first time. This event aims to help children feel closer to the activities of the volunteer fire brigade. On the day, there will be plenty of firefighting experiences that are usually rare, such as an exhibition of a 30-meter-class ladder truck, 'hose bowling' using fire hoses, and a water fire extinguisher experience. Content is prepared that is sure to excite future heroes. At 'Soba Castle - Summer Campaign -,' calligraphy performances by local high schools, dance, live stage performances, a battle show by the local hero 'Kasseikaman,' and the fun 'treasure throwing' will also be held. Gourmet booths serving fried chicken, lamb skewers, shaved ice, and more will be lined up to welcome the hot summer, offering rich stage events and food. As a heat countermeasure, a large-scale water discharge by the fire brigade is also planned to bring cool relief, making it the perfect event to create summer memories with family and friends.
