About this event
Information regarding the 13th Kiso Town Ekiden (Relay Road Race) has been published on the official Kiso Town website. Eligible participants are residents or workers in Kiso Town, or 3rd-grade elementary school students and older approved by the tournament director. On the day of the event, team registration, team gathering, an opening ceremony, the race start, and a closing ceremony are scheduled, with a course designed to run 2 laps within the Kiso-Fukushima district. Capacity is limited to the first 50 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. The entry fee is 1,000 yen per team, but teams composed entirely of elementary school students can participate for free. To apply, submit the required application form along with the entry fee to the Board of Education or each Education Office. Applications via email are not accepted. The application deadline is Friday, September 18, 2026 (must arrive by this date). Regarding insurance, participants from outside the town are not covered, so individual enrollment in personal accident insurance is recommended.
