Obuse Rokusai Market 2026

The 'Obuse Rokusai Market' will be held over two days on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026. The venues are the Town-run Mori Parking Lot and Dainichi Street. Obuse has held markets since the early Edo period and flourished as a commercial hub where goods from Northern Shinano gathered. The name 'Rokusai Market' inherits the name of the market held in this region in the past. In the modern Rokusai Market, numerous stalls line the venue along Dainichi Street, and various presentations by local elementary schools and neighboring groups will be held on a special stage. On the 18th, a Mando Mikoshi (portable shrine with lanterns) will parade along Dainichi Street. It will be two days packed with autumn delicacies and enjoyable events. Stalls will sell local specialty goods and agricultural produce, and dance performances will be presented on stage. The stall fee is 8,000 yen for one tent for two days.
