Roadside Station Nozawa Onsen is celebrating its 7th anniversary thanks to everyone's support. To show gratitude for daily patronage, an Anniversary Festival will be held for two days on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026. On the event days, indoor workshops offering craft-making unique to Nozawa Onsen and many outdoor food and drink booths will be lined up. At the workshop venue, visitors can also sit indoors and enjoy food and drinks they have purchased. In the workshops, participants can experience making original tote bags and T-shirts with silkscreen printing, as well as crafting coasters and trivets using rattan vine craftwork resembling Nozawa Onsen's famous chocolate vine (akebi). At the food booths, a bakery and distillery from Nozawa Onsen Village, a takoyaki shop from Kijimadaira Village, a stationery shop from Nozawa Onsen Village, as well as gohei mochi and shaved ice stalls from across Nagano Prefecture will participate. Amazake sales by Nakano Shoyu and a liquor shop from Nozawa Onsen Village are scheduled only for August 29, and a fried chicken (karaage) shop from Matsumoto City is scheduled only for August 30. It is a perfect event for making summer memories.
