The "6th Nozawa Onsen Bicycle Festival," where riders can enjoy exhilarating cycling set in the great nature of Shinshu, will be held over two days on October 3 and 4, 2026. In this event, three disciplines will be held simultaneously: a Hill Climb challenging a steep slope with an 800-meter elevation difference, an Adventure Downhill offering spectacular views at 90 km/h, and a Gravel & Adventure Touring course exploring the satoyama countryside. The courses are thoughtfully designed to suit each skill level from beginners to advanced riders, allowing participants to enjoy the best ride while taking in the lush rural scenery and beech forests of Nozawaonsen Village. Furthermore, a "Double Entry Special Award" is offered: participants who take on both the Hill Climb on October 3 and the Adventure Downhill on October 4, and win the overall title of "KING & QUEEN OF NOZAWAONSEN," will be awarded a winter season pass for Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort. After the grueling race, participants can also refresh body and mind by touring Nozawa Onsen's famous 13 public hot springs or visiting the Food Stall Village where local delicacies gather. Spectating is free of charge.
