About this event
The Tokai region's largest outdoor Halloween entertainment event, "Hikari to Monogatari 2026," will be held at the Nagara River in Gifu on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This event is a new kind of immersive Halloween event that fuses fireworks, light, music, characters, and more. Set against the special day of Halloween, it connects diverse entertainment under the theme of "light" by combining fireworks completely synchronized with music, high-quality audio sound systems, live artist performances, and lighting productions that envelop the entire venue, transforming the entire venue into a single "story." Aiming to be a new form of experiential entertainment that is neither just a fireworks festival nor just a music festival, it creates a one-night-only Halloween experience where you can enjoy dressing up in costume, surrender yourself to the music, and look up at the night sky while wrapped in light. The entire venue is staged as a single story, and visitors themselves become part of that world. The scenery that has nurtured the rich nature, history, and culture of Gifu—such as the clear Nagara River, Mount Kinka, and Gifu Castle—is also an essential element constituting the event. By combining the unique location of the Nagara River—such as fireworks and lighting productions utilizing the expansive river space, with Mount Kinka and Gifu Castle directly in view—with modern entertainment, it creates a time that can only be experienced in this place. At the venue, while enjoying your favorite costumes, you can fully enjoy food trucks featuring local gourmet delicacies and merchandise booths.
