About this event
Cherished as an autumn tradition in Gifu, the Gifu City Industry and Agriculture Festival: Gifu Nobunaga Festival is a celebration honoring the achievements of Sengoku warlord Oda Nobunaga, held throughout central Gifu City. In 2026, events will unfold over two days on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8 across various locations, including the JR Gifu Station North Exit Plaza, Kogane Park, Yanagase, and Kanda-machi. Major events include a memorial service for Lord Nobunaga, dance stage events, and the Pudding Festa in Gifu scheduled for Saturday, November 7. On the following day, Sunday, November 8, the festival's highlights—the Lord Nobunaga Mounted Samurai Warrior Procession and the Gifu City Agriculture Festival—will take place. Throughout both days, visitors can also enjoy kids' events at Kogane Park, downtown revitalization events (Yanagase), and the Gifu Nobunaga Station Square Rakuichi Market. Furthermore, numerous events organized by various partner groups are planned, offering a packed schedule. As this year marks the commemorative 70th edition, preparations are underway to ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors. Event details will be announced progressively, and participant recruitment notices are also scheduled. This festival will serve as an excellent opportunity to experience the history, culture, and local vitality of Gifu.
