JASDF Gifu Air Base Air Show 2026

About this event

The 'Gifu Air Base Air Show 2026' will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Gifu Air Base located in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture. A major highlight of this air show is the flight display of test aircraft and large mixed-formation flights unique to Gifu Air Base, home to the Air Development and Test Wing. In typical years, the base is opened to the public with aircraft flight displays, ground aircraft displays, and equipment exhibitions. In particular, the test aircraft, which feature paint schemes and appearances different from mass-production models, are rare exhibits not seen at other bases. In addition, the mixed-aircraft formation flight, where multiple aircraft models fly in formation, is one of the traditional attractions of the Gifu Air Base Air Show. In the 2025 event, specially painted and preserved aircraft were also on display, bustling with many visitors. Detailed program schedules and times for 2026 will be announced at a later date, but it promises to be an unmissable event for aviation fans to experience the latest equipment and technology of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
