This is a lecture on themes related to the history and culture of the Kaizu City area. Marking the 1st session of fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), this edition is titled 'Battle of Komaki and Nagakute: The Battles in the Kaizu City Area and Terumasa Ikeda.' It re-examines the significance of the struggles over fortifications on the Owari-Mino border during the 1584 (Tensho 12) Battle of Komaki and Nagakute, particularly the clashes between the Oda-Tokugawa and Hashiba forces in the Kaizu area, while also explaining the actions of Terumasa Ikeda at the time. The lecturer is Kenta Naiki, Deputy Director of Iwasaki Castle History Museum. The participation fee is 200 yen, and a separate museum admission fee is required. The capacity is 70 participants, and registration begins at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 9, by phone or online application form.
