About this event
The "74th Rakujuen Chrysanthemum Festival," held at Mishima City Rakujuen Park, is the liveliest annual autumn event. The theme of this year's large-scale tray landscape (bonkei) is "Kiyomizu-dera Temple," selected through a public contest among citizens to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the city's municipal organization. The World Cultural Heritage and National Treasure Kiyomizu-dera Temple, with its historic brownish main hall, will be created as a structure with a maximum height of 4 meters, vividly decorated with approximately 8,000 pots of colorful chrysanthemum flowers. In addition, the annual night chrysanthemum illumination will be held, allowing visitors to enjoy the magical appearance of chrysanthemums. Free admission is offered during the illumination hours on select days.
