Held every year in late September at Sakura no Sato at the foot of Mt. Omuro, the 'Izu Kogen Craft Forest Festival' is an outdoor festival where works by unique craft artists gathered from all over Japan are exhibited and sold. Browsing for attractive, one-of-a-kind pieces lined up across the forest and lawn plaza is sure to be an enjoyable time for visitors. A wide variety of programs are prepared, including popular family activities such as 'Tree Climbing,' 'Picture Book House,' and 'Star Dome,' as well as 'Mt. Omuro Crater Rim Walk' guided by a nature guide, and free yoga and tai chi trial sessions in the magnificent nature. It is an event where you can fully appreciate the charm of crafts while enjoying nature to the fullest.
