Held for the first time in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, "Oimo Fes FUJI CITY 2026" is one of the largest sweet potato events in the Shizuoka and Tokai area. It will take place over three days from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Fuji Central Park Event Plaza. This popular event attracts more than 10,000 visitors every time and has achieved first place in Shizuoka Prefecture's event rankings for two consecutive years. Under the theme "Warm hearts with sweet potatoes for ages 0 to 100," it aims to create a space that the whole family can enjoy. The venue consists of four areas: the "National Sweet Potato Area," where specialty shops offering roasted sweet potatoes and sweet potato desserts gather from all over Japan; the "National Gourmet Area," featuring original products utilizing local ingredients; the "Producers Area," offering sales of agricultural products such as sweet potatoes and all-you-can-stuff bag experiences; and the "Kids Area (Experience & Play)," packed with activities for parents and children. Admission is 450 yen for advance tickets and 500 yen for same-day tickets, but free for elementary school students and younger. It is an event where the whole family can spend a heartwarming time through sweet potatoes this autumn.
