Held as a "Prefectural Citizens' Day Hospitality Experience Event" in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, this history talk event is hosted by the "Yaizu Sightseeing Guide Association" to commemorate its 10th anniversary, focusing on two historical figures closely tied to Yaizu: Tokugawa Ieyasu and Koizumi Yakumo (Lafcadio Hearn). Guides equipped with knowledge cultivated over many years of activity will share secret stories and lesser-known episodes surrounding Ieyasu and Yakumo, conveying the charms of the local region. Designed to be enjoyed by history enthusiasts as well as first-time learners, this commemorative lecture provides an opportunity to rediscover the history and charm of Yaizu and carry affection for the hometown into the future. Participation is free, and wonderful special gifts will be presented.
