Held at 'Fujieda Olive Farm / CREA Village' in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 'Olive Harvest Festival 2026' is an autumn-exclusive hands-on event. Participants can experience actually harvesting olive fruits in the vast olive orchard. The harvested olives are transported to the on-site oil mill, where visitors can observe the production process of 'Novello,' an unfiltered new oil pressed on the spot, and taste freshly pressed olive oil. Novello is characterized by a vivid aroma reminiscent of green fruits and herbs, along with a pleasant bitterness and pungency, offering a special flavor distinct from standard bottled oils. In addition, limited pairing dishes combining freshly picked olives and freshly pressed olive oil with seasonal local Shizuoka ingredients will be served. In the 'OLIVE HARVEST OMAKASE' course for junior high school students and older, participants can enjoy a special full-course lunch or dinner, and on November 3, the 'OLIVE HARVEST TABLE' course—a buffet lunch open to elementary school children and younger as well—will also be held. It is a valuable autumn-exclusive experience where you can learn all about food and agriculture.
