About this event

Held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Yaizu City's municipal organization, the "51st Yaizu Marine Fireworks Festival" will present a spectacular fireworks show illuminating the night sky and the sea surface, set against the Yaizu Port New Port area. As a commemorative edition this year, special projects are planned, and it is expected to draw even more attention than usual. The launch site is the Yaizu Outer Port South Breakwater; with few buildings obstructing the view, the fireworks launched from the sea offer an open, expansive scenery typical of a port town. The sight of massive fireworks covering the night sky over Suruga Bay and reflecting on the ocean surface is a powerful experience that can only be enjoyed on site. A wide variety of fireworks, including night-launch fireworks and starmine rapid-fire displays, will fascinate spectators. The event is scheduled from 18:30 to 20:00, and public transportation is recommended as congestion is expected around the venue. There is no dedicated parking at the venue, but access from Yaizu Station is about a 20-minute walk. To avoid congestion after the fireworks festival ends, arriving early or considering a hotel stay around Yaizu Station is recommended. Street stalls are usually set up around the venue, allowing visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
