About this event
Held around Gotemba Station on Monday, October 12, 2026 (public holiday), the '20th Gotemba Line Festival' is an event designed to help people become familiar with the Gotemba Line and feel the connection between the local community and the railway. At Poppo Square, visitors can experience blowing the steam whistle of the displayed 'D52' steam locomotive and learn about Gotemba's railway history while listening to the actual whistle sound. Additionally, a Gotemba Line photo exhibition will be held at the Gotemba Station East-West Free Passage, and merchandise sales will take place at the Fujiyamaguchi Square. The venues span multiple areas around Gotemba Station, centered on Poppo Square, allowing visitors to tour various locations while enjoying exhibits and events related to railways and the Gotemba Line.
