Globally Touring Wadaiko Drum Group "YAMATO" Japan Tour 2026 in Aichi Based in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, the globally touring Japanese drum troupe "YAMATO" has performed over 4,800 shows across 55 countries worldwide since its founding in 1993, captivating more than 10 million people in total. Starting with a massive drum exceeding approximately 2 meters in diameter and 500 kilograms in weight, various large and small Japanese drums weave together a powerful stage performance. The overwhelming rhythm and delicate expression born from highly trained physiques are truly "music of the body." Intensity, sorrow, tranquility, and dynamism—YAMATO's stage is an experience felt with the whole body rather than simply "listening" to sound.
