The 12th Hekinan Bicycle Stroll

About this event

Hekinan City is full of cultural and industrial "treasures," including historic temples and traditional brewing industries. This is a game-like event where groups ride bicycles around the city to discover many "treasures" and take photos. You can aim to find as many treasures as possible, ride with a specific theme, or thoroughly explore at your own pace! To earn Treasure Points (OTP), each team departs from the starting point and stays together until reaching the goal. Based on the map and OTP list distributed just before the start, strategize how to visit points efficiently within the time limit. There are 64 OTP locations, with bonus points awarded for farther or harder-to-reach spots. You can also earn bonus points by participating in events like quizzes or hands-on activities held at OTPs on the day, or by carefully observing OTP locations. Read these details from the map and checkpoint list to make comprehensive decisions—strategy is very important. All teams start together! Transportation is limited strictly to cycling. You are free to stop for meals or visit interesting shops; some shops might even be OTPs. At each OTP, take a photo including your team members using the smartphone app system and post it. After posting, head to the next checkpoint and aim for the goal within the time limit. All team members must reach the goal and check in within the time limit. Exceeding the time limit will result in point deductions, and exceeding it by more than 20 minutes will lead to disqualification. Results will be announced and an awards ceremony will be held on the day.
