The Chita Peninsula consists of 5 cities and 5 towns, and aims to further promote the stage of the Chita Peninsula through the 'power of cinema' through these partnerships. It incorporates the wish to bring joy to local residents of the Chita Peninsula through the 'power of cinema and media,' drawing upon experiences inviting films through the film commission, experiences on filming locations, appearance experiences, and the people enjoying the film festival. The 2026 event will be held on Saturday, November 28 at Handa Eye Plaza Aichi, from 10:00 to 17:30 (scheduled). In the short film competition division, original video works are called from Japan and abroad, limited to drama format (excluding animation and documentaries), with works within 30 minutes. The application deadline is Thursday, April 30, 2026, and the entry fee is free. Selected nominated works may be partially broadcast on local cable television, and the Grand Prix-winning work may have its full length broadcast. On the day of the film festival, participation by at least 1 production personnel is mandatory. The awards include the Grand Prix and the Semi-Grand Prix.
