The "Meiji Modern Western-Style House Tea Gathering" will be held at the Former Nakano Residence in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture. Set in the Former Nakano Residence, a charming Western-style building that preserves the atmosphere of the Meiji period, this event invites guests to experience the black tea culture that began spreading during the Meiji era while enjoying food pairings with the world's top three black teas. Alongside a tea instructor certified by the Japan Tea Association, participants can compare Darjeeling, Uva, and Keemun teas, savoring their pairings with sandwiches and two types of baked sweets. Spend a special time discovering your favorite pairings while appreciating the harmony between tea characteristics and food. On the day, a guided tour of the building led by museum staff and panel exhibits are also planned, allowing visitors to explore the architecture, history, and stories of the Western-style house.
