One of Aichi Prefecture's largest Japanese tea festivals, "tea festival CHAKOBA 2026," will take place on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2026, at the Handa Red Brick Building in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture. More than 45 booths featuring Japanese tea producers and shops from tea-growing regions across the nation will gather, allowing visitors to taste and compare over 300 varieties of tea, including sencha, Japanese black tea (wakocha), oolong tea, kamairicha, white tea, matcha, bancha, and Japanese-style tea blends. It is a rare opportunity to find your favorite flavor and aroma while speaking directly with tea producers. In addition, there will be stalls by teaware artisans, traditional Japanese confectioners, and vendors offering tea-infused sweets and foods, providing a venue connecting diverse people and cultures through Japanese tea. Admission is 500 yen (paid admission for junior high school students and older) and includes a tasting teacup.
