Sculpture Village in Inuyama 2026

About this event

Aiming to provide a space where people can "freely interact with sculpture in everyday life," the open-air wood sculpture symposium "Sculpture Village in Inuyama 2026" will be held at Furo Park in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, featuring open production of wood carvings outdoors. Over 10 sculptors selected through an open national call will participate in an artist residency, allowing visitors to see up close the process of artworks emerging from raw logs. At the end of the event, the completed works will be exhibited at the same venue as an outdoor sculpture exhibition. In addition, the "Sculpture Village Selection Exhibition," featuring small pieces by participating artists, and workshops for children (advance reservation required) will also be held in Inuyama City. This is a valuable opportunity to experience the passion and creativity of sculptors.
