About this event

The 36th main production presented by Gekidan Kikyu, 'Gakuya', is a play written by Kunio Shimizu. This work is a celebrated masterpiece so widely loved and staged by numerous theater companies that it is said to have the highest number of performances in Japan. The performances will be held twice (day and evening) on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Chiryu City Cultural Center (Patio Chiryu) Hanashobu Hall. The matinee starts at 1:00 PM and the evening performance starts at 6:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased at Patio Chiryu Art Center, obtained through cast and staff members, or reserved via 'Torokure Ticket'. Reserved tickets are paid for on the day of the show. Please take this opportunity to experience the world of 'Gakuya' woven by Gekidan Kikyu.
